Conigliaro Block provides excavation services for Deep Hole and Percolation Tests.
Deep Hole Tests are used to show the various soils present and their elevations to help find the most suitable location on a particular site for a future septic system.
A Percolation Test is used to determine the absorption rate of the existing site soils to determine if the site is suitable for building a septic leach field.
To perform the tests, our trained operator advances several Deep Holes under the direction of the site engineer to determine the proper location and elevation for a future septic leach field. A smaller Percolation Test Hole is made at the proper soil layer which is then filled with water and measured over time to see how fast the fluid dissipates or "percolates" into the soil.
